What is CliftonStrengths and how does it work?
CliftonStrengths is a Gallup assessment that reveals your natural talents across 34 themes in four domains — Executing, Influencing, Relationship Building and Strategic Thinking. By highlighting your natural ways of thinking, feeling and acting, it helps you focus on strengths — which is linked to higher productivity, engagement and quality of life.
Is CliftonStrengths a personality test?
No. Unlike type-based tools such as MBTI, CliftonStrengths is a trait-based assessment that measures your patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving across 34 themes. Rather than sorting you into a category, it identifies your unique talents so you can develop them into genuine strengths.
Is CliftonStrengths reliable, and will my results change over time?
CliftonStrengths is highly reliable, with results that stay stable over time — repeated assessments surface consistent themes. Minor shifts can occur, but they don't change your dominant themes. A retake is generally unnecessary unless you were distracted, took it in a non-native language, completed it very early in life, or answered many questions neutrally.
What should I do with my CliftonStrengths results?
Put your CliftonStrengths results to work. By actively practising your top talents and pairing them with skills and knowledge, you convert raw talent into developed strength — boosting both performance and personal growth.
How does CliftonStrengths help my team and organisation?
CliftonStrengths builds stronger teams by improving communication through a shared understanding of talents, assigning work to natural strengths, and balancing perspectives across the four domains. Managers can align roles to individual talents to foster collaboration, synergy and peak performance.
